Second Post, Knitting

Ok, I guess I've waited long enough to do a second post. I think I've had "blogger block."

I've been knitting a lot, mostly on a project for KnitPicks. I can't show pictures yet, but it's a red coat-like jacket, made from cranberry Wool of the Andes. I did make the Astera fair isle sweater sample that is now on their website and in the catalogs. I was thrilled to look at my new Winter 2007 Interweave Knits magazine yesterday and see the sweater in a KnitPicks ad on page 41.

I'm also working on a couple of projects for Elise Duvekot, a wonderful knitting designer in Toronto. This is top secret, as it's for a book being published soon by XRX, the publishers of Knitter's magazine.

I've been working on the innovative socks presented in Cat Bordhi's new book, "New Pathways for Sock Knitters, Book 1". I've completed 2 pairs of the socks (Bartholomew's Tantalizing Socks and Veil of Leaves socks) and am working on my third, the Master Coriolis. These three shown are in the photos above.
I'm still trying to figure out the techniques for blogging. I've just discovered how to hypertext, so maybe next time I'll figure out how to add captions to the photos.

I am looking for an email address for Elise Duvekot, who was my freshman roommate at Cornell in 1967. My maiden name was Danielle Lanier; my married name, which I use now, is Danielle Shelley. I had Elise's address in Delaware, but I guess they moved. (I found you on Google.) Could I ask a favor? If you have Elise's email, could you send her a quick email telling her I'm looking for her. She can reach me at danielle@danielleshelley.com; my website is www.absolutearts.com/danielleshelley
I'm an artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Thanks so much.
